Nasturtiums are a challenge to paint as they twist and turn after 30 minutes in a vase. Their Latin name translates as 'nose twister' very aptly as they have a peppery smell too. My Nana would walk us, just after sunrise, around the beds of nasturtiums to collect the quicksilver beads of dew caught in the dish-like petals. She said that if we drank that dew we would never have wrinkles. I guess I should have kept up the practice.
