Angel Academy of Art, Summer Workshop 1

Have had the privilege of undertaking a 2 week workshop in Forence under Michael John Angel to explore the 'Techniques of the 17th, 18th and 19th Century Masters'. His knowledge and teaching is sensational.
About 26 students from 16 different nations studied their master copy selection out of six options. The exchange was rich and generous.
Off a photograph we scaled up to a larger study/actual size and were taken through the layered steps to achieve a first layer likeness. I chose Franz Hals 'Laughing Cavalier'.
I still have further work to do, particularly in turning the form.
