Tree peonies are very regal flowers. I would have painted this differently if I had read Mary Oliver's poem 'Tree Peonies' first.

- I have a passion for contemporary realist art and owe much of this to Australian artist Lance McNeill whom I studied under whenever I got the chance in the '1990's and 2000's. Between 2009 and 2015 I had the great fortune to participate in some Summer Workshops delivered by the Angel Academy in Florence.
